It is only a few minutes from the Tube and all the shops and pubs of Leytonstone, while also being moments from the beautiful open spaces of Epping Forest. Our list of favourite pubs is too long to fit in here, but we especially love our local, the Birds, for its great beer selection (and a two-minute walk home!) and the Leytonstone Tavern for its seriously good burgers.

We'd also recommend the newly renovated Hitchcock Hotel near Hollow Ponds, which has been taken over by former Ivy chefs. There's always something new opening nearby and you're really spoilt for choice about where to eat and what to do."
